Welcome to Metals and Petals
Handcrafted jewellery inspired by nature’s beauty. Each design is lovingly created using real flowers, foliage, shells, and butterfly wings. Preserving in either several layers of resin, once they have been fully dried out, or making a mould by pressing natures creation in putty before creating silver jewellery. So … How did Metals and Petals bloom?
The Idea
an Idea that lead to the creation of Metals and Petals. I wonder if you could preserve flowers, foliage and more of nature in its natural beautiful and unique form. So i experiment and, thus Metals and Petals. Real flower jewellery, preserving nature in its natural form! Forever inspired by unfolding leaves, emerging flowers, and hidden gems found in nature. We believe nothing in nature is ever ordinary — and we celebrate its beautifully unexpected details.
From a very young age I have always been attracted to nature – whether it be flowers, the seaside (both on the beach and in the sea) or animals. I have always had a love for it. I remember pretending to be in some magical whimsical meadow, surrounded by flowers fairies and other magical and beautiful creatures. Or if was creating floral tonics or potions from the flowers growing in the garden. Unfortunately, and probably like some of you out there I drifted from what made me happy and the core of who I am. For it is a well known fact in my family that i am at one of my most content or happiest when outside and surrounded by nature. Whilst I had drifted and lost the essence of me, like we can all be, I found myself susceptible to ‘scrolling online’!! However, I did discover people creating real flower jewellery — by pressing flowers, pouring resin on whilst in a frame. Now, it sparked an Idea…
Eco-Friendly & Unique
At Metals and Petals, with having such love for the planet – nature and animals – it is important to us as a company that we are as eco-friendly as possible. All of our flowers are primarily home gown, our seaweed is found on the beaches, the butterfly wings are from a trusted supplier which are ethically sourced. The silver is all used from recycled silver and our gemstones (pearls, moonstones, sunstones, rubies, sapphires ect) are all genuine, ethical and fair trade from a reptile supplier.
Our eco-friendly process ensures you can wear a piece of nature every day, knowing it was made with care for the planet.
As each aspect of nature has grown and formed in its own special way, you know that your jewellery is unique from the next. From textures of silver on the rings, to seaweed and floral designs!
